Having lived in Utah most of my life, I spent my career\nworking in structured business positions while obtaining an education and\nraising a family.  During the course of\nmy career while searching for a creative outlet, I discovered the art of kiln\nformed glass, sometimes referred to as “warm glass”. I began my art\njourney attending a fused glass class taught at the University of Utah.  It was at this point I realized working with\nvibrant glass colors was not only a great stress reliever, but truly a passion.\nSo I set a goal to pursue my glass passion on a full time basis, after\nretirement.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although I am mostly a self-taught artist, I continue to\nattend various art classes including watercolor to further elevate my art\nskills.  I also dabble in metal art,\noften incorporating glass and metals to form unique jewelry pieces and outdoor\nart.  I am inspired daily by the\nbeautiful Southern Utah red cliffs, desert colors and flowers and incorporate\nmany of those inspirations into my glass art pieces. Since completing my home\nstudio in Utah, I enjoy teaching kiln formed glass classes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My glass art ranges from practical to abstract reflecting on\nthe dynamics of texture, color, and illusion of movement created with glass.   I enjoy watching people look at pieces I have\ncreated and ask themselves \u201chow did she do that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
