Several guild members recently enjoyed a one day Raku glass workshop with Phill Teefy. Phill’s definition of “Raku”, as an art form, is “unexpected/unknown result”.  We combined metal inclusions with various chemicals to produce different colors. We then fused our inclusions between different layers of glass. We had a sand casting demonstration where molten glass was poured into a sand mold, an inclusion was added, then the inclusion was covered with with more molten glass.
